KGMU ‘Love Jihad’ Allegation: Dr. Rameez Already Married to Mansi Saxena, Woman Doctor Reveals

Lucknow: A shocking case of alleged ‘love jihad’ and religious coercion is unfolding at the prestigious King George’s Medical University (KGMU). A female doctor has accused Dr. Rameez of deceiving her about his marital status, luring her into a relationship, and pressuring her to convert religions for marriage.

The accused doctor, who is already married, allegedly hid this fact while pursuing the victim. The truth came to light when the woman doctor met Mansi Saxena, Dr. Rameez’s wife.

Accused Claimed to Be Unmarried
Dr. Rameez reportedly presented himself as a bachelor before the Vishakh Committee. The victim revealed that she first met Mansi Saxena in September 2025 near Batul Plaza, Thakurganj, where Mansi disclosed that she was married to Dr. Rameez.

Denial of Marriage by Dr. Rameez
Mansi Saxena informed the victim that Dr. Rameez had converted her religion and married her in February 2025. When the victim confronted Dr. Rameez, he outright denied having married Mansi, assuring the victim that he would marry her instead. Meanwhile, Dr. Rameez continued secret contact with Mansi.

Pressure to Convert Religions
The victim stated that Dr. Rameez maintained the relationship under the promise of marriage. In October 2025, when the victim pressed him about marriage, Dr. Rameez insisted she must convert religions first—a demand the victim refused.

Threats and Suicide Attempt
After the victim began distancing herself, Dr. Rameez allegedly threatened to release objectionable photos and videos to coerce her into compliance. On 17 December, the distressed woman attempted suicide by consuming multiple pills. She was subsequently admitted to KGMU’s Trauma Centre for treatment.

This case has intensified discussions on deception, religious coercion, and harassment in professional spaces, drawing attention to urgent calls for legal and institutional action.
